Jazz

by Giuseppe Bavuso

Inspired by the musical genre to which it is named after, JAZZ is a modular aluminum and wooden bookcase designed to give rhythm to contemporary living spaces. On a 38 cm deep base with different lengths, a series of tapered elements arise spontaneously from the shelf. Like branches of a tree, they spread upwards in opposite and unexpected directions, until they disappear, merging with the upper shelf. Developing a game of overlaps until they reach the desired height, the uprights act together as buttresses providing a distinct stability, capable of satisfying the most diverse design requests from architects and interior designers. JAZZ can be fixed to the floor or to the wall, and can be either used as a room partition or as a wall bookcase. Designed by Giuseppe Bavuso in a circular economy perspective, JAZZ is composed of three elements – uprights in die-cast aluminum, shelves in agglomerate wood, concealed stainless steel joints – all of which can be all easily disassembled and are also completely recyclable.
