Jean Nouvel


An architect and urban planner, Nouvel was born in France in 1945. He has had his own architectural practice since 1970. His works have, among other things, won the gold medal of the French academy of architecture, the Royal Gold Medal of RIBA, the Aga Khan Award for the Institute of the Arab World; he is an honorary member of the RIBA and AIA; he has also won the French Grand Prix for Architecture and, in 2001, the Premio Borromini (for the Centro Congressi e Cultura in Lucerne) and Japanís Praemium Imperial Career Prize.
