Brian Rasmussen

Denmark

Brian Rasmussen was born in Ringsted (Denmark) in 1973. He graduated at The Royal Academy of Architecture in Copenhagen in 2000. All ready as a first year student his won the national student competition "PRISOPGAVE KOBENHAVN" (Denmark) with a project for a futuristic metro station. After his studies he moved to Venice and has been living there ever since. In 2002 he won the second prize in the national architecture competition "CHRISTIAN D. IV'S BRYGHUS" and decides to open his own office of architecture and design in Venice, Italy. In 2003 he starts a research project "The Meeting Point Between the Roman Baroque and the Nordic Classicism". This project becomes the theoretic and morphological foundation for many of his later design projects.
